Lisa Foor Rojek's artwork is best described as visionary figurative art: spiritual elements are interwoven with her physical subjects. Rojek often employs visual allegory to represent an idea or experience. Her technique involves abundant layering to achieve a rich and harmonious complexity that mirrors the depth of her subjects.Lisa Foor Rojek earned an MFA in painting from Syracuse University in 1990, graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1987 with a BFA and art education credentials, and studied at Scuola Lorenzo di Medici in Florence, Italy. She currently teaches art at an independent school in Southeastern, NC.
